Experts in business Agility

Business Agility refers to an organisation’s ability to respond to rapid market and technological changes. It enables companies to speed up processes and enhance quality in a cost-effective way across their organisation by applying the values and principles of Agile – an approach originally designed for software development and IT project management.

Technology and consumer needs are changing faster than ever. Being adaptable and responding to changes quickly is one of the key attributes of successful companies today.

Teams and individuals need the right training to ensure Agile ways of working are implemented effectively, addressing the volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) of the current business environment. Increasing the knowledge and skills of employees enables continuous growth and better execution of internal processes.

Orbium provides Agile certification classes for all levels of experience, from beginners to experts. We offer classes for employees from all areas of the business, including experienced technology specialists, and have the capability to provide training to companies of all sizes – from SMEs to large organisations.

The most valued aspect of our certification classes is that they’re delivered by experienced experts. Not only are they specialists in the theory behind Agile ways of working, they’re also practitioners who bring relevant case studies and real-world experience to each session.

To deliver the most up-to-date and appropriate certification, Orbium partners with organisations including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), the International Consortium for Agile (IC Agile) and the Business Agility Institute. We can also deliver Scrum certifications from

SAFe® 4 DevOps

This course gives a comprehensive overview of the DevOps competencies required to accelerate time to market by improving the flow of work through a continuous delivery

pipeline. Attendees map the value stream through their current delivery pipeline and identify practices that will eliminate bottlenecks.

Participants gain an understanding of the complete process, from continuous exploration to continuous integration, continuous deployment and release on demand. Attendees also explore the SAFe® CALMR (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measure, Recover) approach to DevOps, which helps to create a culture of shared responsibility for delivering the solution. It enables managers to align people, processes and technology throughout the organisation to achieve faster times to market.

The ICP's learning outcomes focus on the Agile mindset, values, principles and foundational concepts. The aim is to achieve organisational agility without specific focus on any single Agile methodology or framework – i.e. Scrum, Kanban, XP, DSDM, SAFe® etc.

Our tailored interactive sessions include informative discussions and engaging activities, which can be adjusted to any industry, and our experienced trainers work with employees at every level – from C-suite executives to middle management and teams.

Our sessions give practical insights on how to improve business results and effectiveness. The business agility topics we cover can include, among others, leadership, finance, operations and marketing.

In addition to Agile, we also train groups in Scrum, Kanban and DevOps ways of working. Our goal is to guide your transformation by training staff in a way that drives business outcomes with speed and agility.

To ensure training and certifications are actioned and implemented effectively, we support partners and clients by providing professional Agile coaching.

Throughout the transformation journey, we advise and educate teams and individuals to ensure seamless adoption of Agile practices. One of our key competencies is taking people by the hand when they need extra support, while focusing on the need to develop self-sufficient teams.

Coaching can be implemented in companies that are in the early stages of applying Agile practices, as well as those that have already established a few Agile teams and are now looking to scale this up across their organisation.

Often, a crossover with traditional ways of working makes Agile teams far less effective than they could be and frustrates progress. Orbium’s methods help companies to scale to the second (Agile at scale) and third (business agility) waves of Agile and to prepare for the fourth wave: digital innovation.

Our services help you self-assess to identify how your organisation is doing on its Agile journey. We assist your company in developing the ability to adapt faster, provide regular increments of value and deliver consumer-focused results. To ensure companies progress, we encourage them to measure results and effectiveness.

Agile coaching is essential to the successful adoption of Agile. Points to note include:

  • Initial coaching focuses on individual Agile/Scrum teams
  • Multiple levels of Agile coaching are available: i.e. for teams, management and executives
  • Agile Scaling within the organisation
  • Three to Six months of Agile coaching is recommended for each newly launched Agile team
  • Number of coaching days depends on the team/requirement
