John Okoro has more than 10 years’ experience of working in Agile in the US and Asia, including setting up the Agile services practice for Rally Software in Asia. He is also author of A Guide to Distributed Agile Framework and has been a university lecturer in Agile in both the US and Singapore.
His appointment comes at a time of great change across the financial services sector as fintechs continue to disrupt traditional business models and the sector digitises in response. The speed of change demands swift action from incumbents to develop and evolve into digital players themselves.
Many banks and other financial services providers have already established small Agile teams but need to scale these up across their organisations to meet the growing challenges.
